You’ve built a solid career.
You’re capable. Responsible. The one people rely on.
From the outside, everything looks fine. Maybe even successful.
But internally, something doesn’t sit right anymore.
You don’t hate your job. You’re good at it. Perhaps even great at it.
But it doesn’t fit in the way it used to.
You might find yourself wondering things like:

So you keep going.
You take on another project. Another responsibility. Another year.
And because you’re used to being capable, you start to assume the problem must be you.
Maybe you’ve lost motivation.
Maybe you’re just tired.
Maybe you’re expecting too much.
But often the real issue is much simpler.
You’ve never had the time or space to properly stop and think about what you want now.
That’s where coaching comes in.
I work with capable women who’ve built successful careers but quietly feel like they no longer fit in them.
Together we slow things down, untangle the noise, rebuild confidence in your own thinking and figure out what your next chapter could look like.
Not by blowing up your life.
But by creating thoughtful, steady change that fits the life you’ve already built.

I’m Ella Hutchings, a Life Balance and Career Coach.
Before starting my coaching business, I spent more than 25 years working in business support, management and HR roles. For much of that time I coached employees, managers and senior leaders through challenges, decisions and career transitions.
I’ve always loved that part of my work. The real conversations. The moments where someone finally gets the space to think clearly.
But this work is personal to me too.
I know what it’s like to be capable, experienced and responsible… and still reach a point where something doesn’t feel quite right anymore.
Where thinking it through alone just isn’t enough.
That experience is why I now support other women through the same kind of crossroads.
Because sometimes what you really need isn’t advice or motivation.
You need space, structure and someone alongside you while you figure out what comes next.

I understand the tension between wanting progress and protecting your wellbeing and work holistically to consider your whole life.
Many of my clients are used to being reliable, competent and thoughtful. They’re not looking for motivation or fixing – they want clarity, perspective, and a way forward that fits their real life and work.
That’s why my coaching blends:
The aim is not to reinvent your life – it’s to help you make the decisions and changes you want, whatever they are, confidently and sustainably.
I work in line with my values which are Empathy, Connection, Integrity, Fairness, Curiosity, and Authenticity. These are at my core.

“Ella has helped me to take that first step, bringing me a sense of clarity and the confidence to move forward.”

“Ella has taken me on a journey of discovery and been a fantastic support in my career returning to work after maternity leave.”

While both life coaches and therapists help individuals improve their lives, therapists typically focus on addressing mental health issues and past traumas, while life coaches focus on helping individuals to move forwards, to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
Confidentiality is of utmost importance in my coaching practice. I adhere to the International Coach Federation's (ICF) Code of Ethics, which includes strict guidelines for maintaining client confidentiality.
